Når han klagde til dem fikk han beskjeden: “(you are) very illustrative of why the country so hates right-wing influencers who can’t see beyond their own grift and selfish hypocrisy”
Vi gjengir her en av hans viktigste arbeider som er innsamling av klimahysteriske alarmer, advarsler og forutsigelser som alle har feilet miserabelt. Han har samlet inn over 100 år med slike spådommer.
Failed Apocalyptic Forecasts
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
– H. L. Mencken
Academics have been forecasting doom for my entire life. Needless to say, it hasn’t happened, as we are still here.
Snowball earth, 1911. No more coal or wood.
Glacier National Park ice free by 1948
That prediction failed, so they changed the date to 1961.
That prediction failed, so they changed the date to 2002.
A few days after we landed on the moon 50 years ago, Stanford professor Paul Ehrlich forecast that we would disappear in a cloud of blue steam within 20 years. Ehrich is John Holdren’s close associate, and Holdren was Obama’s science advisor.
A year later, he predicted that we would run out of food and water within a decade.
He wanted to poison Africans in order to save them from overpopulation.
Great Barrier Reef doomed – 1971
Venice will sink by 1990
A few years later the “immensely likeable” Ehrlich jumped on the global cooling bandwagon.
Ehrlich and Holdren were both pushing global cooling, before they started pushing global warming.
Their real agenda was to cut off the fossil fuel supply, which they were blaming for the global cooling.
Twenty years later he wanted to prosecute climate skeptics.
And 50 years after his first failed predictions of doom, he is still at it.
The global cooling scare was ubiquitous for academics. The world’s leading climate experts wrote a letter to President Nixon in 1972 warming of a new ice age in about a century.
The Director at the National Center for Atmospheric Research and his leading scientist were pushing global cooling.
Climate experts wanted to melt the Arctic to stop global cooling.
President Carter warned that we would run out of oil at the beginning of the 20th century.
By the end of the 1970’s academics started to move on to new panics – nuclear meltdown.
In 1979, experts said global warming would produce a new ice age.
Acid rain was going to kill us if famine, global cooling, nuclear meltdown and peak oil didn’t.
Global cooling caused droughts and floods. Now they are caused by global warming.
But times changed during the 1980s, and the UN warned that global warming would kill us by the year 2000.
That doesn’t seem to have happened, so they pushed the new doom date out to next year.
Experts said the Maldives would be underwater by now.
But the Maldives seems to be OK.
NASA’s James hansen predicted Lower Manhattan would also be underwater by 2018.
Palm trees in Philadelphia.
“Dateline Earth 2040:
As sea levels continue to rise due to the melting of polar ice caps and heat-induced expansion of seawater, the United Nations is reporting an unprecedented world refugee problem. Tens of millions. have been forced to relocate from the globe’s coastal areas. In the cases of some islands, entire populations have had to move. The Maldives off India, the Marshall Islands in the Pacific, and several Caribbean nations are now virtually underwater,
Never in history have refugees of this number been compelled to flee because their land has simply’ disappeared. Bangladesh, a nation of flat plains centered on a vast Della, has seen a full sixth of its landmass submerged. . In Egypt, rising seas have engulfed 15 percent of the arable land, displacing 14 percent of the population. The numbers in Holland are similar.
Sea levels, already five feet higher than they were 50 years ago. in’ the late 1960s, are expected to rise another foot in the coming decade.
Since hurricanes are linked to the temperature of ocean surface, which is rising, parts of the world have lately been devastated by storms of unequaled power. The last 10 years have seen hurricanes, that are 50 percent more severe than any in the previous century. This has caused ruinous flooding in regions from Miami to Galveston to the entire New Jersey shore.
Meanwhile, coastal buildings throughout America’ continue to erode into the rising ocean. Millions of acres of developed seaside land are now awash in rising tides, and are uninhabitable.
A few cities continue to fight back, but the cost is high. The municipal debt crises in Boston and New York deepen as both cities pour billions into constructing sea walls of historic size,
The walls have not, however, been able to stop salt water con- lamination of fresh water re- vs. Congress is now debating prison terms for violation of the nation’s 10-year-old. federal mandatory water conservation laws.
The latest climatology report has found that global temperatures on average were 10 degrees higher this past decade than in the 1980s — a bigger leap than in the previous several million years. Thermometers in the southwest this summer have routinely crested 120 degrees.
There are now palm trees in Philadelphia.
As most scientists now agree, each time global temperatures rise by one degree, climates shift 100.-miles. northward. In middle America, that. has been accompanied by an enormous migration. The population of Canada has increased. a staggering eight times from 20 million-in the 1980s to 160 million today, It is estimated that there are now over 1,000 deserted towns in America’s Midwest.
The Mississippi, which hasn’t been used by commercial barges for several decades because of parched summer temperatures, is now, in parts, able to be crossed by foot.
Both Canada and the Soviet Union, meanwhile, are reporting record grain harvests, once again surpassing American production.
In Washington, the president’s popularity has sunk to an all-time lows but he continues to charge that the severity of the warming phenomenon lies not at his door.
It lies, he insists, at the doors of the administrations of the late 1980s and 1990s, who refused to act with courage and vision.”
Paul Ehrlich declared that anyone who doubted his forecasts of doom, was a criminal.
He called for genocide against “rich people” like himself apparently.
“Within a decade, there will be no more snows of Kilimanjaro” due to warming temperatures.”
Al Gore An Inconvenient Truth 2006
The world’s leading climate scientist predicted the Arctic would be ice-free by 2018.
Nobel Laureate Al Gore predicted the Arctic would be ice-free by 2014.
There seems to be lots of ice in the Arctic.
In 1989, the Guardian said that only global communism can stop twelve feet of sea level rise.
One failed forecast after another.
New Orleans to drown by next year.
Fifty million climate refugees by the year 2020.
Global warming will kill us and make Britain a Siberian climate by next year.
Permanent drought in the UK.
Permanent drought in Australia.
Five years since the New York Times announced the end of snow.
It has been more than twelve years since they announced the endless summer.
The Washington Post predicted cherry blossoms blooming in winter.
There has been no trend in cherry blossom bloom dates since atmospheric CO2 reached 350 PPM thirty years ago, with recent years tending to be late.
And it has been almost nineteen years since British experts announced that snow is a thing of the past.
Actual snow cover has been increasing for 30 years, and is about the same as 50 years ago.
Bill Clinton’s science advisor announced the Southwest permanent drought eight years ago.
Those forecasts don’t seem to be doing too well.
Climate experts now say that global warming causes bitterly cold, snowy winters, and that they predicted it all along.
The world’s leading climate expert predicted Lower Manhattan would be underwater by 2018.
And experts say we will all have to flee to Antarctica to save ourselves from global warming.
Fifty years later, Ehrlich still says doom is imminent, and that collapse of civilization is certain within decades.
I have hundreds more of these predictions on file, but this is enough to get the point across. Climate alarmists, and alarmists in general, are incompetent, dishonest hacks – who change their story every time the wind shifts. And no matter how many times they are wrong, they never lose credibility with the press.
